A life-long passion for creativity
Working with the Belgrade Theatre has a special place in the Design Penguin heart. Karen has fond memories of going there as a child with family and on school trips, and it was the first place she ever saw live theatre. For us, working with the Belgrade helps to carry on the legacy of these early experiences that helped to shape Karen’s love of creativity and design, without which, Design Penguin wouldn’t exist.
From supporting the Belgrade’s 2020 redevelopment with hoarding boards, developing a hanging and design system for their window banners to designing the brand identity for new in-house productions and tackling the annual run on the panto in the heat of summer, it goes without saying that we love working with our local theatre.
