Penguins…not just for Christmas.

The exact number of species of penguin is not known but experts say it’s between 16-19.
Nearly half of these are either listed as vulnerable or endangered which is why for every 100th project we book in Design Penguin adopts a penguin on behalf of the client. Sorry no real penguins are posted out with your certificate!

Since DP launched in 2017, we have adopted 13 penguins and for the last few years we have been supporting the Galapagos Conservation Trust, a UK based conservation charity that works exclusively to protect the unique animals and environment of Galapagos Archipelago. The Galapagos Penguin is one of the smallest in the world and is the most northerly occurring species. They are at risk from climate change, which is altering their food source, and from marine plastic pollution. The charity supports monitoring of the penguins and is helping to tackle pollution in the area via its Plastic Pollution Free Galapagos Programme.

We are also doing our bit by reducing plastic based print throughout our design work, sourcing re-usable items and recycling where possible. We hope you enjoy your Christmas penguin. If you didn’t get one – email us and we can send you one over, not real but a little pal for your desk.

Thank you for choosing to work with us #TeamPenguin #DesignedByPenguins

Posting a photo of a Galapagos Penguin is easier than getting all the Design Penguins in one place to take a group photo!
