A good map is an essential to any visitor experience, helping to guide the journey throughout a site (or even getting them there in the first place) and ensuring people feel that they haven’t missed anything. Design Penguin has created maps for a variety of visitor sites and experiences from large estates, gardens, walks and tours and even the beautiful Cornish coastline. With each map we ensure legibility whilst also keeping a sense of place and individuality.
Ensuring a good quality print and a user-friendly format is also part of our process and where possible, we work with local printers to keep production miles to a minimum. We’ve found that map-pads work well, allowing stacks of maps to be kept easily and ripped off as needed to hand to visitors.
