Watch Us Lead is an exhibition about missing stories from history which was the culmination of the artist residency by Christopher Samuel .
Design Penguin was asked to create graphics to compliment the intricate drawings and stained-glass artworks by Samuel and the archive material included within the exhibition. We recreated the font used in one of Samuel’s artworks for the title which was printed huge in cut vinyl so it could be seen through the the entrance to the space. We used printed card for the labels (which is recyclable) – pink for captions linked to participants stories that Samuels had collected and created work from and grey for artwork labels to create a clear distinction in interpretation hierarchy.
